It's been a while since Bluesky was unavailable, but the platform was the subject of a DDOS attack that rendered the Bluesky PDSes unavailable this past week.

While other parts of the network remained available, most users access the platform via Bluesky which lead to some discussion about how a "decentralized service like Bluesky go down".

IndieSky

After the recent AHOY conference, a one-day working session was conducted to discuss independent AT Protocol infrastructure for Europe.

A new working group has formed to work together on R&D, code, and infrastructure on how and why to run different parts of the ATProto stack.

The first meeting of the working group is scheduled for next week.
